Meet the Band
Supernatural formed in July of 2014 in Johnson, VT, a small town east of Burlington. In a basement rehearsal space affectionately called "The Asylum", the band worked countless hours and combined their unique talents to make their vision of a fun and exciting New England cover band a reality.
The band is:
J.B. Woods [lead vocals, tambourine]
Kev Lawless [rhythm guitar, vocals]
Todd Fournier [bass guitar, vocals]
Ryan LaMothe [drums, percussion]
Tim Gregg [lead guitar, vocals]
Supernatural plays rock of the 80s to today, along with doses of country-rock and funk. They play throughout New England and bring fun, intensity, and a PARTY atmosphere to all of their shows! From AC/DC, ZZ Top, and Poison, to Zac Brown and Jason Aldean, they look forward to ROCKIN' soon - at a club or personal event near YOU!
After a long departure from the band environment, J.B. Woods returned to the scene by joining Supernatural in September of 2015. As chance would have it, he was planning to launch his own band called Dead Enemy just weeks prior to becoming a member of Supernatural.
J.B. grew up in Northern New Hampshire and was greatly influenced by the 1980s hair band era. Prior to taking up residence in Burlington, VT, J.B. spent a few years in Virginia Beach. His favorite band, quite fittingly, is Motley Crue, because he brings a similar balls-to-the-wall party spirit to all Supernatural shows!
J.B.'s other passion is creating Photo Art, which ships nationwide and has reached other countries. You can check out his work at Jbwoodsart @ Etsy, or at frequent art shows throughout Vermont.
Gear: J.B. uses Sennheiser wireless microphones.
Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Kev formed Supernatural in July of 2014 alongside original bandmates John “Ripper” Eckert and Lazarus Stix, directly coming off a stint with a three-piece band in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Originally from Central VT, Kev draws his inspiration from the hard rock bands of the 70s and 80s, including the NWOBHM era. He is heavily influenced by Malcolm Young’s (AC/DC) choked-chord rhythm style and the dueling guitar tones of Judas Priest. He brings a special kind of power and clarity to Supernatural shows through his guitar work and sound engineering for the band.
Some of Kev’s other interests include powerlifting, graphic design, vintage audio, and cult classic movies.
Gear: Kev plays Gibson guitars, modded Marshall Amps with Voodoo Amps cabs, and a Fractal Axe-FX III.
Born and raised in VT's Northeast Kingdom, Todd now lives in the town of Jericho, VT. In 2019, he joined Supernatural and brought a wealth of experience and polish to the band with his strong backing vocal harmonies and rock solid, foot-stomping bass grooves! Todd has played with Stump, Fist of Rage, STMP, Chain Reaction, Black Ball, Mindtrap, and Miss Mizery. His primary musical influences are Pantera, Guns N' Roses, 3 Days Grace, Disturbed, Motley Crue, and Skid Row.
Todd has played prestigious shows alongside Stet Howland (drummer for WASP and Lita Ford), and has opened up for Nonpoint, as well as 80s hard rock legends Skid Row and Tom Keifer (Cinderella). He has also performed at several fundraising events for the community such as Rock for Rescues, and Shrinedom.
In his downtime, Todd enjoys hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, and camping.
Gear: Todd plays Spector and Music Man bass guitars with Ampeg amps and cabs.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey soundtracks were pivotal in Ryan's early childhood development. A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica is how he was broken into the reality of the music industry and subsequently, Lars taught him how to run a band!
Born and raised in VT, Ryan started playing drums in Junior High back in '93. Continuing with a passion for music, Ryan formed several casual bands early in his musical career, such as: Backwash; Area 51; Evil Kathedral; as well his first recording band, the rock heavy, heart pounding, diesel'd riffs of Roses Of Rage. He also co-formed Citizen Pine, a Vermont-based rock cover band.
Having hot and heavy riffs flowing through his veins steered him to Supernatural in 2019! Certainly one of VT's most energetic drummers, Ryan is at home across all genres of music - from country to rock and metal.
Ryan's influences include: Mike Bordon (Faith No More/Ozzy Osbourne), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Nick Menza (Megadeth), Vinnie Paul (Pantera), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Sean Kinney (Alice In Chains)
Gear: Ryan plays Pearl DX Series drums, Remo heads, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals, DW pedals, and Vic Firth sticks.
Lead Guitar, Vocals
Tim has been a driving force in the New England music scene for decades. Playing with various cover bands, original bands, smoky back room jams, and many session recordings along the way, Tim's involvement has been never ending in his desire to entertain and move sound with the magic of the strings of his guitar.
Having joined Supernatural in 2019, he brings a spirit of professional showmanship and attitude that is contagious to both the band and the audience! Tim's unique style and sound partly originates from his love of analog tone and the beautiful crunch of hot, glowing tubes.
Tim's passion and drive screams through the pick-ups with an attack only influenced from the guitar gods from lands far, far, far away.
Gear: Tim plays Kiesel guitars with Carvin amps and cabs.
